How Awesome Is That: Children Can Build Stone Circles of Japan’s Prehistoric Past.

Playground with an educational background. Children can build stone circles which are related to the Jōmon period at Komakino Site Preservation Museum.
What does a 4000 years old excavated stone cirlce look like in the landscape? Here you can see the Komakino site in the mid of a forest.
Let’s take a closer look. Stones of different sizes placed alternately lengthwise and breadthwise.
„You’re not alone…“. Bei solchen Hinweisschildern wird einem doch irgendwie mulmig. War ich deshalb die einzige Besucherin?

A Little 356 Years Old Shrine.

A shrine from 1641. Discovered on the area of Utō Shrine in the city centre of Aomori// Japan
Within the same shrine complex in Aomori.
Zu sehen ist eine Miko, eine Mitarbeiterin in einem Shintō-Schrein. Sie ist mit verschiedenen Tätigkeiten vertraut, dazu gehört u.a. auch der Verkauf von religösen Gegenständen (z.B. Votivtafeln).
